I’ll be honest, I feel a bit ashamed tricking you into thinking that this is a Substack post about shame.

No, instead, this is a shameless plug for a podcast I was on recently that’s called ‘Shame.’

This isn’t necessarily the most fun of topics, but unfortunately it is one that has affected many people—including the very host of this podcast. And, myself.

Public shamings, of course, are nothing new. But now, thanks to the viral nature of the Internet, there’s more opportunities available than ever.

On the podcast, we talk about the psychological effects of public shamings, including the online variety. We also discuss what it is that causes such societal thirst for critiquing and pillorying others, as well as what it tells us about ourselves. Amongst other topics.

If you’ve got time, give it a listen. If you don’t, just do the dishes and I’ll see you next time!
