So Twitter is under new ownership. Everyone is busy talking about ‘freedom of speech,’ and while that’s always interesting fodder (by the way, what’s happening to all those people who said they were going to leave Twitter if Elon completes his deal?), I’m actually a lot more excited right now to explore what new features we might be getting.
There hasn’t been all that much in the way of new innovation at Twitter, at least from my point of view, in quite a while. Love him or hate him (and I think there’s plenty of reasons for both), Elon Musk is someone who dreams big and isn’t afraid to take risks to try new things. I’m excited about that.
I don’t think Twitter is going to stay a platform that’s used merely for tweeting at the masses for long. I think there’s been some indication of making it more of a hub for all sorts of needs, ranging from secure messaging to payments.
