I grew up loving movies. 


I remember watching a movie where a savant monkey was put to work rating movies because he could predict which one would be a hit. 

That’s when I thought to myself, "I could be that monkey." 

And that's how I become a film critic (before moving on to other types of writing). I got lost in the magical flicker of the cinema.

The 90s and 2000s were a sort of a more contemporary golden age of cinema, and we got great movies like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Django Unchained.  Oh, and also other movies not directed by Tarantino. Movies like Gattaca, which we will soon be living. As Good as it Gets, Contact, Goodfellas, The Game, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, American Beauty, Minority Report, Castaway, AI: Artificial Intelligence, directed by Spielberg, and many others.

Before that though we had movies like Groundhog Day, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Graduate, Annie Hall, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Chinatown, Breakfast at Tiffa…
