Lately, I've found myself overwhelmed with frustration. This feeling, more intense than ever, stems from a widespread and troubling phenomenon: the casual, yet blatant disregard for the truth. What’s even more disturbing is the defensiveness exhibited by many towards those who knowingly propagate falsehoods. It’s as if people are saying, "I know they aren’t telling the truth, but I like what I’m hearing, and since the mainstream media does it too, it’s fine." This rationalization has become a distressingly common refrain.
Witnessing this pervasive attitude is profoundly disheartening. It’s hard to maintain hope for meaningful change when so many are indifferent to being deceived. How can we expect to overhaul deeply flawed systems if people are not even bothered by the fact that they are being fed a diet of lies?
