Malta actually, for a board meeting. I've spent a lot of time there, and like to joke to people that it's a kind of fascinating, miniature English-speaking Sicily...
I'm actually pretty familiar with that controversial "citizenship-by-investment" programme that's now been ruled illegal by the EU, though many smaller (and especially island) countries have such programmes. It really is a fascinating, beautiful & historic little nation, and all the locals speak both English & Maltese (a unique Semitic language). It was a British crown colony from 1813 to 1964, and the British connection is still strong.
Thanks! And Malta also has strong historic Italian connections, and Italian used to the language of the law courts during the British period, to make it even more interesting... Many of the leading families even today are of Italian heritage.
I'm in! I just bought No Apologies, and will read what I can before the 29th. Thanks, Katherine.
Nice! Looking forward. I hope you enjoy it.
I imagine I will! And I profile book clubs, so I'm interested in learning more about this one.
I'll be on a Mediterranean island on the 29th, but I hope the book club event is a big success!
Thank you, Stephen! Enjoy the Mediterranean island.
I'll toast you and your book event from afar!

Aw. I’ll be on the road and unable to attend, Katherine. Sorry.
Sorry to miss you! Hopefully there will be another opportunity.
Nice!!
